This week the offers at Supervalu include 33% off Irish Leg of Lamb (fair play for allowing us to stock up on our Easter joints early!) priced at just €8.97 per kilo, not bad going. A little less interesting are the reduced round roast (€7.03) and pork steak (€6.44) which in the photo looks stuffed – if it is isn’t in the shops that’s a touch heavy on the artistic licence…
It’s mix and match any 3 for €4 on various veg, and in keeping with the healthy theme, Donegal Catch frozen salmon is down to just €5.69 for five fillets – this is excellent value if you want to stock your freezer with this delicious but bleedin’ expensive fish.
Onto much less healthier items, Pringles are half price, at €1.25, as are Goodfellas pizzas (thin range, MUCH nicer!) at €1.64, and the obligatory (seriously, are the supermarkets getting this stuff for free?!!) yoghurts.
If you’ve a Cheerio nut in the house, their €2 600g boxes are a canny buy, and in preparation for the BBQ season we seem to be weirdly experiencing in March, the €10 boxes of Sol might find a home in my house this weekend…
